‘Laugh Out Loud’ is an uptempo Alternative/Electronic Rock song that contains big choruses interspersed with verses that combine the ambience of 'The Weeknd' with 'Incubus' inspired guitars. This track rises and falls to create what we hope is a perfect balance of passionate energy and soft introspection.
Overall the song is about the multiplicity of self. Each of us aren't just one person, we're many, and as much as we hate our dark sides, they often have a big part in making us who we are.
lyrics
Been up too long (brick by brick),
It's almost half past 3
Ghouls and ghosts (vampires sit),
Only ones that can see me.
I could use somebody,
I could use someone.
You say I'm gone,
Well you can bury me alive,
Ain't it fun,
To laugh out loud (when you're feelin' down)?
You say I'm gone,
Well through some anarchy tonight,
We'll have fun,
An' laugh out loud when we're feelin' down.
This blackened home (black on black),
This time of night the world's asleep.
Lost in thought (crack don't crack),
Swim with uncertainty.
I could use someone.
You say I'm gone,
Well you can bury me alive,
Ain't it fun,
To laugh out loud (when you're feelin' down)?
You say I'm gone,
Well through some anarchy tonight,
We'll have fun,
An' laugh out loud when we're feelin' down.
Could you use somebody?
Cause I could use someone.
Well shoot me five times,
Would that fix my face?
Surely it would look better than the mess I see in place,
Comparing to perfection is a
Poison needs correction an I'm
Searching for connection but I
Keep on finding nothing at all.
They say I'm gone,
Well they can bury me alive.
Ain't it fun,
(When you're feeling down)?
You say I'm gone,
Well through some anarchy tonight,
We'll have fun,
An' laugh out loud (when we're feelin' down),
You say I'm gone,
Well you can bury me alive,
Ain't it fun,
To laugh out loud (when you're feelin' down)?
You say I'm gone,
Well through some anarchy tonight,
We'll have fun,
An' laugh out loud when we're feelin' down.
